Rather, the Berlin resident Phillip Sollmann has fashioned a future-oriented and very organic album that fuses the ultra-deep house, techno, dub and soulful jazz clichés in a highly autonomous manner. Therefore come in a reference to "Chicago" exact genre designations hard on the lips. Efdemin proves once again how well he understands his own sound vision, musicianship and music history in such specific forms of watering. Chicago, including his house and jazz, of course, flashed past again and again, without ever degenerating into a pure quote. A great album.
